How to make the proper use of a diamond blade in the construction field?
The proper use of a diamond blade in the construction field requires more than just a good diamond blade and a machine. Knowledge of how diamond blades are designed to perform is significant. Once the blade is in the field; it is up to the cutting operator to apply a blade to the job at hand in a profitable manner. There are many variables that affect diamond blade performance in the construction field.
Let's have a look at how to make the proper use of a diamond blade in the construction industry.
- Tensioning
Diamond Blades are tensioned by the manufacturer to run at the recommended rpm. Tensioning is specifically designed to keep blades from distorting at high speeds. The blade will straighten when it is rotated at the optimum speed. The tensioning can be achieved by a mechanical roller hammersmith or otherwise called roller tensioning machine.
If the designed speed is not attained, the blade may wander as the cutting begins. When the blade is in tension phase, it vibrates and wanders when placed in the cut.
- Machine Drive Power
When optimizing the cost-effectiveness of any diamond saw blade another factor to consider is the amount of power available to the blade. Diamond cutting tools require optimal pressure for maximum performance. Adequate pressure must be applied to maintain sharp cutting crystals.

Loss of tension in a diamond saw blade:
There are reasons for loss of tension in a diamond saw blade. The blade core may overheat due to a lack of sufficient water applied to the blade resulting from uneven segment wear. Make sure that the water supply is reaching near the collars. One should use a blade better suited to the cutting application.
Blade tension may be lost when blade flanges are not of the exact size, or when a blade is misaligned on the saw. One should ensure that the flanges are clean, are of the proper size.
The operator should not exert pressure on the blades by pushing, mounting, jamming or twisting. All these actions can put unwanted stress on the blade and cause metal distortion.
A blade that will not cut may not be the proper one. The operator should observe the segments on the diamond blade to find out the exact reason why it is not cutting. Knowing as much as possible about the concrete can be advantageous to the cutting operator and the tool manufacturer. If the surface of the segment is quite smooth and the diamonds are not extending beyond their limits, then the diamond bond combination is not right for the application.

Can I get money from the city projects after my car has been wrecked by the bad roads from steet construction?
I was driving regulary with my friends and family in the car in the downtown area about to drop off one of my cousins after graduation. As I pass through the intersection, I saw in front of me two inches drop from the ground because of street construction. The top part of the pavement was shaved. I tried to slow down to transition but unfortunately there were a few sewer lids that stick up about 4 inches above ground level. Boom! and my car hit one of those sewer lids and motor oil was flying out of my car. Luckily nobody was hurt. After that, as I was standing waiting for the tow truck I also notice a few cars hitting those sewage lids. I am pretty pissed because they didn't put any warning signs up or what so ever.
I know the cost of repairs won't be little in this accident. I want to know how I can complain to the city or maybe get them to fix my car. Thanks a lot.
Probably not. 4 inches should have been more than enough clearance, and the city will argue you were driving too fast for conditions or you would have been able to slow down,
